3. To support South African communities through Arts & Recreational Team Building, and
4. To inspire participants to voice themselves through art
While children are the main focus of arts workshops and performances, the programme attempts to include all community members such as parents, caregivers and others. Children below the age of 12 are automatically included in HEART. All older community members are required to sign up to the programme, and put forth ideas towards producing their own end of year showcase. All contributing adults including community members, volunteers & facilitators are encouraged to seek out ways in which to contribute to HEART. Facilitators and Volunteers will be asked to guide participants towards reaching their own goals.
Currently we are looking for Arts professionals who are able to offer their time to present holiday workshops. We are also looking for volunteers who are willing to help facilitate workshops and or be a part of the HEART programme during the school-holidays. Facilitators will be asked to design workshops that are in line with the 4 Phases of the HEART holiday programme.
